Night
by Marion Wiesel, Elie Wiesel, Frances Frenaye
No words that I write could possibly give this book the justice it deserves. This book shows the worst of humanity; the cruelty made my heart sink deeper and deeper as I read each page. I would highly recommend everyone to read this book.
My biggest takeaway was, as Wiesel said in his acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize, “We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”
