Oh this was a lot of fun! that shouldn't surprise me, considering that I loved the tv series, and this kind of historical adventure is exactly my cup of tea. (I mean, [a:Bernard Cornwell|12542|Bernard Cornwell|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1504578807p2/12542.jpg] is one of my favourite authors... That should tell you something.)
And this is pretty much Sharpe on the high seas. I was already familiar with the story (which the movie stuck to admirably, it seems), but that didn't lessen the excitement or suspense at all.
Need to get me the rest of the series now!
