This book felt like too many things. I think it wanted to be heartfelt but it bounced between funny and dark in a way that was not satisfying or appropriate. I didn’t like Elizabeth Zott. It felt like a complete fantasy. Too generalized characters, Mad Zott was too unrealistic (which could have been fixed so easily by aging her up), 6:30 was was adorable but felt out of place, I didn’t like the cuts to random families in their living rooms. I wanted to like this book so badly but it just missed the mark for me. Big thumbs down.
