I have such mixed feelings about this book. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, but that didn’t seem cumbersome. The book bounces between their POVs, and it’s always clear who we’re dealing with.

Despite being called “The Paris Apartment” there is very little Paris involved. It could have been set in any city with quirky old apartment buildings and houses. The most annoying part, to me, was the interjection of French; while the author did an OK job of giving context so you knew what was being said, it was a bit jarring to read a paragraph of English then bump into a line or two of French.

It felt creepy and sinister in places; slow and boring in others. A few twists to keep it interesting. The reveal wasn’t shocking…it was just OK.
