The Summer Girl
by Elle Kennedy
This was a slight twist on the standard “modern romance” plot format.
While I liked that it mixed up the tropes, and there was actually clear communication between FMC & MMC, the book overall was quite a bit longer than I felt like it needed to be.
On the flip side of that, I did like that the MCs were fleshed out people that did much more than gaze longingly at each other and get physical.
I did not realize this was part of a series until I’d finished the book. I don’t feel like I missed anything starting here.
Overall, I’d say it comes out to be about the standard as far as ratings go. I’m not mad I spent time with it, but I probably won’t ever think about it again.
