Augustus: First Emperor of Rome by Adrian Goldsworthy
3.75
informative slow-paced

Great biography, however not on the same level as Goldsworthy's biography oc Caesar. But I believe that's solely due to Caesars live being more action-laden than Augustuses. After Augustus gained power his life becomes less spectacular -- which was a good thing for the Romans! Still a great read and I would defenitliy recommend it if you are interested in Augustus or in this period.
