The Roommate Risk by Talia Hibbert

4.0

- I struggled connecting with these characters more than I usually do with Hibbert’s books. I wanted to like Jasmine, but I just really didn’t enjoy reading her POVs. Rahul also felt so static during all the flashbacks.
- I do think this has some of the better spicier scenes from Hibbert’s book.
- I’m not sure how I felt about the flashbacks mixed in with the main timeline! I liked them on one hand, but some parts didn’t feel necessary.

Updated Review for New Audio Recording:
Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the ALC!
- The first time I read this, I struggled with Jasmine as MC. This time, I liked her a lot more! She's so prickly and tricky, but Hibbert does a great job of developing her character to show why she does certain things.
- The spice in this one is so good! The tension that she can build with a friends to lovers character arc, and she 100% takes advantage of that.
- The narrators did an excellent job with making this book easy to sink in to, and I especially loved Jasmine's narrations!
- I loved how much growth both MCs go through in this book. It felt so realistic, but also so impressive.
