What a haunting, mysterious
book. Read some of this for a class several years but revisiting it in its entirety was fun. Laid out in a hazy, swirling mix of dreamlike moments, Rivera illustrates an interconnected and raw landscape of the suffering of Mexican migrant workers living in the United States. It’s inspiring in a melancholy way, and the last bit ties it all beautifully. Definitely worth checking out if you have a free hour to spare!
