I really enjoyed this book. I read the audiobook version, and the voice of the alien was great. It made the character very lovable, and theme
of language and understanding come to light. The ending felt like a setup for a sequel or like the author ran out of time and didn’t know where to go, but a simple rom com ending would have been sufficient. I was predictable but fun and enjoyable and a nice dive into alien conspiracy theory and human relationships, even if a bit unbelievable and full of transparent discoveries or twists written to facilitate important plot points.
