There are not many words to encapsulate how this book FUCKED me up. In the wee hours of the morning, eyes burning, and heart racing, I read the end of the Rising👀🤯.
Pierce Brown wrote this book in Hell🤣.
This was by far one of the best Villain comebacks I've read in any book - period!
From the Syndicate, the Clone, the Heir of Sileneus, the Rim, Grimmus, the Raa, Volsung Fa, and the Red Hand - the waiting of ten years to infiltrate and destroy was indeed a villain party for real!
This book was layered like an 8 tier wedding cake. The themes of this book were intertwined with finesse ( Sexism/ Elitism/ Pride/Loyalty/ Parental Love or hate/secrets/Oppression/coups/ child death/ Law and order).
When I thought nothing could get worse...it did. Chapter 31 will forever haunt me. Matter of fact, the whole damn book at this point💩.
The women and children of the book held shit down💪🏾💪🏾.
OMG-- the surprise at the end. Like HOW THE FUCK...👀🤯🤣.
This review doesn't do this book justice. There is so much to say. But I will say this--- they should have dropped that ninja Lysander years ago. Now, he back like a Jedi with his burnt face.
If you want "High-tech Romans and Vikings in Space" this is the series for you!
@charliauthor, thank you for being ears for me because...I understand now🤣🤣🤣
