I listened to this on Audiobook. It is a duet narration and incredibly well done. I'm pretty picky about the narrators of books, especially if its in first person, but this one was perfect.
That said this book had pacing issues galore. I would call this a very medium burn with a very late payoff. Almost frustratingly so...
The story plods along in almost a cozy fantasy nature. Any real action (if you want to call it that) doesn't happen until the last 10% of the book. If you're looking for any 'epic' in your fantasy you won't find it here.
