Gutter Child is a book about caste, colonization, slavery and racism in the world of today - and it's a story that sticks. It's hard to know where to start when writing a review of this novel... Not only was the story incredibly well written and engrossing, the message of the book was always clear and present.
I don't want to give anything away by talking about the storyline, but if you, like me, have been putting off reading Gutter Child - this is your sign to pick it up. This is a story I certainly won't forget.
