The Heart of Betrayal
by Mary E. Pearson
Grade: B
I’ve never read a series that has so many pages and yet so little happens. Did anything actually happen in this until the last 20 pages? Debatable. I did enjoy myself, mainly because I was desperately hoping the love interest I liked would be endgame. He wasn’t. She went with the boring one. I quite like Lia’s character, I just wish more happened in this book! It feels like the first two books could be condensed into one, as there is a lot of just sitting around. I will finish the series and we’ll see if the last book is any more eventful!
