The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie
4.0
mysterious medium-paced

This was April’s choice for the prompt ‘Butlers’ and again, another one I really enjoyed! This is about when a joke goes wrong after a group of friends put eight clocks into one of the friend’s bedroom to give him a fright when the alarms all go off. In the morning they find their friend dead and one of the clocks missing.

This is a sequel to Christie’s book The Secret of Chimneys but you don’t need to have read that one to read this. This is more of a thriller/spy novel than her other books and a fun read!

Superintendent Battle features in this who is one of Christie’s recurring characters. This has brilliant characters in it, lots of rich ‘toffs’ but also secret society’s and much intrigue!

This is one of Christie’s hidden gems in my opinion, I never hear much about this one and it was one of her most entertaining books.
