Missing Pieces
by Heather Gudenkauf
3.5 stars.
It would have been 3.75 had I not figured out who it was 50% through! I saw the whole thing coming. It was a well-weaved, well thought out family drama of a thriller. I wouldn't say it's chock full of twists and turns but rather a determined, frustrated woman as our protag who narrates in close third, trying to uncover some of the deep-seated secrets in the family.
There were some of the possible suspects that I wish had been better developed outside the context of the crime, and no one really stood out in comparison to other thrillers but it was easily consumable and I enjoyed it.
