A False Start (Special Edition) by Elsie Silver

3.0

Only gave this three stars because the beginning was so good. I loved the tension of their first interactions, and the first half of the book had really great momentum. After that though, things got very repetitive and slow. Griffin’s wife plot line came out of NOWHERE and was frankly unnecessary. I think spending more time on his failed football career/injury/resulting alcoholism would have been better and helped him make more sense as a character. Also the on again off again stuff in the last half was SO REPETITIVE. I didn’t understand why they weren’t just together.

Overall an entertaining read that does what it says on the tin.
