I enjoyed this book as I love Orla, Locke and Nash together, but there was something about the pacing and plot that wasn't perfect for me. I felt like the story lost momentum being split into two books, and that some of the drama that happened in this one was added in to pad out the length (i.e. the motorway accident). I still enjoyed the drama, don't get me wrong, but some of it felt a little disjointed as the plot from their first book was wrapped up within the first half of this book. So anything that came in the second half was interesting, but felt more like a bonus story than part of the main story.

I also was hoping for a little more from the ending - Locke realises Orla is pregnant in the last chapter but she and Nash don't, and we get left on a bit of a cliffhanger of what's going to happen next. She has endo and we learn a lot about her fertility issues and past miscarriages throughout their books so we know there is a high possibility this pregnancy won't work out, despite all three wanting kids together. Locke's internal thoughts about this pregnancy weren't easy for me to understand - I wasn't sure if he thought she was guaranteed to miscarry again, or if he knew this one would succeed? I thought we'd get an answer in the bonus epilogue in the author's newsletter, but that was a bonus scene from earlier in the book. I'm guessing we'll know what happened when book 7 gets published?
