_bb 's review for:
The MANIAC
by BenjamÃn Labatut
It's a creative approach to retell a person's life by trying to speak as if the people around them, but I'd rather have read a straight up biography instead without all the embellishments and attempted flair.
The narrative transition in the later part of the book is rather jarring, at first it wasn't clear if it was the same book for a preview of another. It sort of connects it together, but not particularly well.
