I'm super shocked and very disappointed by this, since I was expecting a heart-wrenching historical drama set around WWII and the Holocaust. But after several hours of listening, I'm still not interested or connected to any of the characters. In fact, I seriously dislike Caroline's chapters with all the name-dropping and uppity dialogue and her "romance" to a married man?! Not for me. Maybe it gets better, but it already felt like a huge miss for me.
