I'm still working out how I feel about this series. I like the main character; I enjoy the plot. The villain of this piece was genuinely scary and fun to read about.
But. But! The whole picture she paints of who werewolves are, how they behave toward each other and toward Mercy... it's hard for me to reconcile with her wanting me to see them as viable romantic leads. I mean, I'm not feeling like a choice between "he never lies about mostly wanting me as a magical baby-making machine" and "it's admirable that he's one of only a handful of Alphas I'd trust not to rape a ten-year-old" is much of a freaking choice. Girl needs to broaden her social circle.
