I wanted to like it so much more than I did, and I DID like it! This book just filled me with so much anxiety. It jumps into the conflict so quickly and I just absolutely hate Adair and everyone (adult) acts so clueless and just completely allows the children to run everything and have little to no authority or reaction at all. This installment seems rushed and I don’t even know where a next one could go (surely something with Armageddon). It really did exhaust me to read from the get-go! I wanted to put it down and start something else but it was so short, I made myself finish. I’m happy I did, because Myla and Lincoln are super cute, but what a trip.
