Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

5.0

4.5/5

Yo. This book.

“If a woman who’s wholly alone occasionally talks to a potted plant, is she certifiable?”

Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine absolutely wrecked me. This book has been on my radar since it’s come out, and it 100% lived up to the hype. This ridiculously Scottish story covers mental illness, abuse, and profound loneliness with writing clever enough to actually make me laugh out loud. This is absolutely one of those books that’s hard to put down - I’ve been missing Eleanor since I’ve finished it.

“In the end, what matters is this: I survived.”

Overall: I highly recommend this to everyone, and it’s already on my to be reread list.
