I wanted to read these because Jason and I enjoyed the series on tv. I think if I hadn't seen the show I might not continue with the series of books. Longmire isn't all that likely in the books. He comes across as kind of a lazy jerk. They made him more likeable in the tv series, so I am hoping, like mnay tv and film things, that his character is more of a conglomerate, and he will become more likeable in the books.
