Set against the eerie backdrop of a secluded house near a dense forest, the novel delves into the lives of its reclusive inhabitants, each grappling with haunting secrets and shifting realities. As the narrative unfolds through multiple perspectives, the story challenges perceptions and keeps readers questioning what is real. It's a tale of trauma, identity, and the darkness that can lurk within both the mind and the shadows of an ordinary street.
Honestly don’t think I’ve ever got to a book and thought what the heck did I just read. I want to say this book was good but in all honesty I’m just don’t know what to say. It started off so slow and was hard going and then the pay off from such hard work was absolutely not worth it! When it all wrapped up I understood what the author was trying to do but for me it was just too complicated and confusing to work properly.
On paper this was a perfect book for me, a psychological thriller with horror vibes but I unfortunately didn’t love it by the end. I can’t believe I’m saying this but it was actually too twisty!
