Read if you like: cozy fall vibes, small dosed spice, grumpy x sunshine, YOU get some love and YOU get some love and EVERYONE gets some love!
I finished this fairly late at night, but didn't write a review like I normally do because man I was tired. So I sat on it. As I sat with the book I realized... the three stars may not be accurate to me. Did I really enjoy it?
To be honest, I think I was so quick to finish it because the next book is about a bookshop owner and that's the book I really wanted to read because, yea, books. But is that enough to say 'I liked this other book' and is that enough to keep reading?
Don't get me wrong PS Cafe wasn't horrible, and I wasn't dreading picking it up. However, the constant 'almost there' interruptions started to get old after awhile, and the mystery really felt like a throw away. Weird things are going on at the cafe and we don't know what it is, but it was pretty obvious from the start. Then when the reveal happened, it was the most anticlimactic blink of a moment where everyone just decided they're the most forgiving people and the town is just full of those who can't communicate ever about anything apparently.
Some I'm sure is part of it being a romance, but for the most part, after having sat on it longer, I think was more just a writing choice I wasn't a fan of.
