This book begins well - I like the early partnership and the academia tone. Midway, the book really looses it's pacing. The science, which was strong in the beginning, peters out and what we are left with are two fairly dull characters and not much in the way of plot.

I can't help but compare this (as have others) to Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. Young bright couple starts a wildly successful business. The parallels are many, both male MCs have a disability, women in STEM fields being sidelined and pushed into PR, the woman are the real genius while the men are tortured workaholics. The female MC has a side relationship with the best friend/rich boy funder. There's more but, suffice to say there were points when it felt dangerously close to copied.

Which is ironic, as the MCs of this book have no morals and aren't even really morally gray, just disappointingly shallow. I wish that Zoe had been passionate about the science of aging, I feel like that would have made for more tension.

Also as many have said, the final third of the book was just an absolute snooze. We see things from Jack's POV but it is all tell and no show. Much of it scenes we have already seen, but just rehashed from his POV, which truly doesn't add much.
