Okay. To start. This book gave me Percy Jackson flashbacks. Last year I reread that whole series and oh my goodness it is non stop disasters- 1 right after another. This was very reminiscent of that. From the moment you open the first chapter the story immediately gets going and its up to the reader to decide to keep up with the pace or to get left behind. It took me weeks to comtinue ready after only reading like 6 chapters. While that contributed to the -.75 of a star this book was phenomenal. I am easily entertained but a book has to be SPECIAL for me to feel so deeply about characters and plot. For example: I love Ridoc so much. Not just he he ha ha hes funny but genuinely if something were to happen to him I would sob. It takes a talented author to create a fictional character that brings realy emotion to the reader. The whole "I will burn the world for you" never got old. V + X probably said some version of that in every single chapter and yet eachtime i was HOOKED. Torn between empathizing with that feeling and also horrified at the thought. To love someone so much, even when they do something evil is a love many people don't receive and many people don't offer.
