She's a Spitfire by Chloe Liese
3.0
Actual rating 3.5
I had no actual problem with that book except that it was a little bit longer than necessary. There were a bunch of chapters that I ,personally, don't think added anything to the plotline for me. So it was like dragging the plot to that one important chapter. But then there was some chapters that literally flew by. Example, the one month gap between the first and second chapter. I don't mind something like that, but you have to clear that up for me, but it was written between the lines, and that brothered me. I am a reader who either likes a clear timeline or non at all. The timeline here was just a hell lot tricky.
It's basically like some chapters were too long and needed to be shorter, and others were too short and needed to be longer.
Other than that, I think Chloe did a great job with the characters. Especially Nairne, I like her fierceness and her fight for independency. She's a very understanding smart character and you sometimes forget she's a twenty one (if I'm correct) year old young woman. And Zed, yes he can get a little too pushy sometimes, but it all comes from a place of love, not control and I think that's okay.
I also adore the side characters, aka their family, and I need more of them so I hope I can find that in book three
