The Westing Game
by Ellen Raskin
An adequate mystery novel for juvenile readers! At first, I did not like reading mystery novels at first, but after getting in touch with this book, I changed my opinion with a mystery novel. The Westing Game shows a lot of similarities with my life, my dad and uncle would play a game that is somehow related to the Westing Game, they would write down a piece of the statement (that’s the clue) if they figure out what the statement means they earn a token. Westing Game includes vivid details of the characters, however, I still don’t get why does the author want to discuss the bombings, and plus the ending makes no sense because of the main point of a mystery novel is to figure out the murderer, how would it be a mystery novel without a murderer and victim. There are still many parts that need to be clarified. Please take in some more details so that your readers can understand this book. The author should have taken in some time to review his writings.
