Burning for Love by Kaye Kennedy

5.0

I didn't think Kaye could top Kyle and Allie but she did! Declan and Gwen's story grabbed me from the very beginning and wouldn't let me go! I was told this was going to be steamy (I even had someone warn me that I would need ice packs) and man they were not wrong; this book is hot! Declan and Gwen light up the pages whenever they are together and Declan is a master at dirty talk *fans self*

The prologue starts off at Dylan and Autumn's wedding reception and Declan has his eye on the wedding planner. He thinks she's going to be an easy lay but once he starts talking to her, feelings arise and he gets cold feet. As fate would have it, they end up in the same elevator. Declan tries to warn her off but the temptation is too great and they proceed to spend the night together (the events of their night together are left to the reader's imagination.) I just have to call out that the forehead kiss he gave her in the elevator; talk about swoon! I loved how affectionate Declan was with Gwen even when they weren't actually together; esp. when he calls her "princess"!

You are definitely going to also need tissues because this book packs an emotional punch as well. I teared up a lot and Kaye definitely puts them through the ringer, but it's so worth it! This book was everything! I can't wait for Mack's book AND the new series she teased in this book!
