This was a really really well written book. I wasn’t expecting much from the book because I had to read it for an English class, but after i got through the letters at the beginning, I really enjoyed the book. It really helped me to grasp what was going on in the south at that time. It also makes me understand exactly why Fredrick Douglass was so well liked as a speaker and admired for his bravery. Overall it was a very good book, and I would definitely recommend reading it.
