This was an alright read. As I read this the second time, I thought the story was okay. I thought the characters were okay. Sydney was an alright character. She had similar qualities to Ana from Fifty Shades Trilogy, but she was not as whiny. Jack was another okay character. I thought he was a bit more interesting. Their chemistry was good. I thought the ending was good. I will read book two to continue their story. Overall, an okay read.

This book was not for me. The characters lacked depth and it was like a FSOG remake. I will say that Sydney is less whinier than Ana. However, I found the plot to be boring and uninventive. I do not know if I will read the second book. Overall, a meh read.
