Under the Whispering Door
by TJ Klune
Klune approaches the topic of death in such a beautiful way in this book. I should've picked up more of his work after reading House on the Cerulean Sea, but even if it took until now for me to do that... better late than never!
The character development, and watching everyone's relationships unfold through the story, was so satisfying and wholesome. Klune's writing often just makes you feel happy, and even though the last 30-40 pages of this book made me a blubbery mess, I came out at the end of it smiling. Highly recommend.
