lesbian dark academia set in an all girl‘s school to study literature with a side of witchcraft and mystery? count me in!
our main character, felicity, is an unreliable narrator, which i really enjoyed, because you always have to guess what (or if something) actually happened. i didn’t particularly LIKE her, but she was very well written. ellis wasn’t for me as well,i pretty much knew from the beginning that she was up to something sinister and therefore didn‘t really root for their relationship but she was an interesting character. i wish we had learned more about her backstory and her life, because i feel there was a lot more the her, than what we learned, but it’s fine. the atmosphere and setting of this book were amazing and the storyline had me hooked. i speed through this book in two days lol, so it definitely is a quick read and the mystery surrounding the death of felicity‘s girlfriend captivated me from the start. it has similar vibes and a somewhat similar storyline to "the secret history" and "if we were villains", so fans of these books could possibly enjoy this one!
