Thank You for Arguing, Fourth Edition (Revised and Updated): What Aristotle, Lincoln, and Homer Simpson Can Teach Us about the Art of Persuasion by Jay Heinrichs

Did not finish book. Stopped at 29%.
I just wasn't enjoying it. I get that he was referencing politicians and their debating style, but there were moments that just didn't sit well with me that I will not get into. He had an annoying tone throughout what I had gotten through, and he was really grating on my nerves with a lot of his jokes. I was here to learn about debating, and I don't think I didn't get ANYTHING valuable from what he was saying. I do think if you're looking for a book on debating, then this may be beneficial to look at, but I couldn't get past his sense of humor and some of his uncomfortable looks at certain situations.
