The women in these stories are most often forgotten. They don’t make the news, they don’t make the headlines. The women in mob stories are behind the scenes, the children in mob stories are behind the scenes. The Family is a fascinating tale of two daughters, from separate Family families, who grow up and lead two different lives along side each other, supporting each other, and the women deserve a story told about them. Beautiful writing, beautiful story, and then ending left me wanting and pleading for more.
