I was really looking forward to this book but unfortunately just didn't enjoy it. I wasn't sure who the audience is - it read like young adult fiction but then was so unbelievably brutal and graphic in the tortures these young women have to go through I would hope teenagers wouldn't read it. I also felt like it had lots of tropes and honestly I just didn't engage, get excited or involved for any of it. It certainly wasn't the worst book I've ever read but it was very far from the best.
