An engrossing chronicle of the Bush White House that is, above all else, fair. Baker does not dance around the lows of Bush's presidency (Iraq, Hurricane Katrina) but also clearly details the successes (AIDS relief in Africa, the immediate response to 9/11). A must-read for Bush naysayers in need of a measured take on his presidency and equally as important for Bush's staunch supporters to see clearly where he faltered.
