A Forgery of Fate by Elizabeth Lim

Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

What a wonderful read! I’ve enjoyed all of Lim’s books. I love that they are all from the same world and you see characters from previous novels.

This book expands on Ai’long and the Dragon King. I loved seeing more of the underwater world and the cranky dragon Elang. Tru is a great character, who isn’t perfect, yet isn’t a weakling. Elang sometimes confused me but in the end you understand why he was the way he is.

Tru paints forgeries, when one day the half dragon Elang asks for her to help rid the sea of the dragon king. Using her art she can help destroy him, but in order to get to him she has to marry Elang and convince the King she is his Heavenly Match. While there Tru works on her art, and figuring out Elang’s secrets. Can Tru help destroy the king or will she destroy the ones she loves?

A wonderful tale in Lim’s amazing world.
