This book was really powerful. Relatable for anyone who was ever an awkward teen who felt like they didn't fit in (I suspect all of us), but especially for anyone struggling with their identity in a hostile environment. I can see why the upholders of that hostile environment are trying to ban it because its message of hope and strength will truly make a difference.
