The Lost Melody by Joanna Davidson Politano

5.0

The Lost Melody is a historical romance novel by author Joanna Davidson Politano.

Vivienne Mourdant’s father passed away leaving her a ward who hails at Hurstwell Pauper Lunatic Asylum. Vivienne’s father had been paying for the ward’s stay only the staff at the asylum do not know about the ward and suggested Vivi not pay anymore.

Instead, Vivi is determined to find out what happened to the ward. So, Vivi goes undercover as a lower staff, with a pseudo-name. While she is there she happens upon records of the ward, as well as records showing that one of their doctors had been a patient in the asylum.

While The Lost Melody is set in 1886 England, I believe it could be set in the present day in any country. I give The Lost Melody 5*/5*.
