The second read is definitely more interesting and makes more sense. I'm glad I watched the movie before my first read, this world is hard to get started in blind. Honestly, the new movies have done such a fantastic job following the book well and making it come to life!
The audio recording of this is well done, but I could have done without the constant background noise... it was pretty distracting. The full cast had several narrators that made a great performance, but it went back and forth between the "main" narrator doing multiple characters in a section, to those characters having their own casted narrator in other sections
