Becky Chambers never fails to make me feel deeply and have hope for goodness. The ability to pack so much humanity into these stories about aliens and outer space should be studied (I'm pretty sure it is). I cried my eyes out for the last few chapters sitting with all these bits of hopefulness and introspection and damn am I always grateful for books that make me feel that way. I need to go back and read books two and three because there is such a unique quality to the experience of reading Chambers. I also need to reread A Long Way To A Small, Angry Planet because that was my first experience with this kind of sci fi and really changed my perspective on what the genre could be. Also, I miss that whole crew. What a fantastic, fun, beautiful story.
