as much as i LOVED the first two books of this series and absolutely devoured them both, i am so disappointed to say that the finale did not live up to its expectations. while exciting and fast-paced, there were a lot of plot holes that i think could have been easily resolved had the author taken her time and slowed down a bit. i personally also felt like half of the book was more of summarizing everything that happened in the first two books with the introduction of previous characters and events, which was honestly a waste of time. the book also had a lot more potential to having an impactful ending, especially since this is the last we get (for now) of evangeline and jacks!! maybe this release was just bad timing/too rushed? 2.5/5 stars
