All-New X-Men Vol. 7: The Utopians by Brian Michael Bendis

2.0

There's not a lot to this volume. Five somewhat related issues that show the sereis petering out. The art is varied, but strong, but the stories are all over the place, from the Jean Grey training issue to the Black Vortex crossover issue to Jean Grey outs Iceman to himself to The All New X-Men sort of rescue a bunch of mutants that writers seem to have left behind on Utopa. It's mostly an uninspiring treading of water before the series relaunches.

I recommend it for completists and for people who enjoy the queering of a character for no reason or stakes (though this will be an interesting development in future issues). I'm not putting it in my LGBTQ+ category because the queerness affects nothing in the story and is, in this volume, completely arbitrary.
