The Lover of Horses by Tess Gallagher

4.0

An interesting mix of stories full of characters and lives that extend beyond the page. Some of the characters feel a bit rambly, but I think that adds to the fullness of the lives that Gallagher captures. I really enjoyed meeting this odd mix of people.

I was emotionally devastated by “Girls.” An incredible story. Also really liked “The Lover of Horses,” “King Death,” “The Woman Who Saved Jesse James,” “The Wimp,” and “Desperate Measures.”
