I didn't like this one as much as the first BUT I loved the MMC. He reminds me so much of Wolf from The 10th Kingdom. Also this book has so many moments where I laughed out loud.

Last I heard, his latest get-rich-quick scheme involved buying expensive fancy chickens that lay black eggs and trying to sell them on the market for twice the price of a normal egg. The only problem was that no one in Boohail cared about wat color a fucking egg was. I could see the idea working if we lived near some posh city with easily amused rich people. But the closest thing we had to rich folk was Cin's family, the Hotpeppers. I practically grew up in Cin's home and she and her family never once turned to me and said, "You know what would make this omelet better? If it was just straight black."

"Did she imbue it with the souls of the damned?" he sputtered around the flask. "I've been burned with fire less hot than this."

"I want to hang my coat next to your door and place my boots at your entryway, so anyone who comes to see you knows that there's a man in your life. I want to place my clothes in your dresser so our scents mix together."

"Do you know where the dragon's wife is?" he asked, perking up.
"Yes!" she answered brightly. Then fell silent. "Will... will you tell me?"
"No, I ain't no snitch."

"The only thing running from you is your hairline," I hissed. "Brie, stab this balding bitch!" Alexis hollered.
