struggled to stick with it — objectively it’s a very brilliant novel, piercing in its social and systemic observations that i felt were more searing and sharp than most of what people try to wax poetic about in novels at the moment. natasha brown is so smart and the novel so deep with passion.

for me, the flow of the novel felt a bit disjointed and maybe even too inferior for someone who likes to peruse the depth of a characters interiority . but it was brilliant.

might have been better at a different time for me but i think it was great.
