Taikavuori by Thomas Mann

I am confused. There were some parts of the book which were extremely fascinating, some others which were even more boring. I did not really get connected with any of the characters. Still there was a lot to think about in this book: life, death, health, purpose of life, human nature and its tendency to create tension due to differing opinions, even war at the most unfortunate circumstances.

Somehow I feel that this book should be read twice. However, I am not sure if I ever will do it. I honestly do not believe so.
