Wow! This was easily one of the best books I’ve ever read. Being a nurse myself, I personally felt inspired by Frankie’s heroic dedication in part 1, and I also found her return home from war comparable to the emotional rollercoaster of being a COVID ICU nurse in a world that was in denial and didn’t believe or respect the sacrifices that were endured “in the trenches.” I felt so many emotions as I read this; but most of all, gratitude. Gratitude for all military personnel and veterans, especially those among my family, friends; and most of all, my husband. You are all my heroes! God bless America.
